It’s sad but it’s true: Modern Baseball has decided to call it quits on their US tour dates, but we love them for it.

Modern Baseball has stolen our collective hearts so how could we be mad when Jake Ewald released a statement on their Facebook page saying that they need this time to focus on their friendship and mental health? I think we can all agree that we want Modern Baseball to continue making albums we can all jam and sometimes cry to…(re: Pothole) So this break is necessary if we want to watch the MOBO empire grow.

Mental health is a growing concern among youth and it’s pretty phenomenal to be able to be honest to such a huge fan base about their struggles. These Pennsylvania pop punk boys have set an example for people everywhere that mental health and unseen illnesses need to take a priority.

So, it turns out we CAN love Modern Baseball even more than we initially thought. We have faith that they will make it up to us and ultimately; we have to champion them for focusing on the things in life that really matter.

We’ll eagerly be waiting for their return to see what they do next. Congrats boys, we’re in your corner.

Can’t Swim!!!

We uh…wow, we wanted to write an article telling you about how this is Can’t Swim‘s 3rd track off their upcoming album, Fail You Again. We wanted to tell you that the album is out March 10th and we’re busy looking for ways to steal it immediately because we can’t wait another 16 days to listen to it. But all we’ve got for you is incoherent yelling and heavy breathing because…Can’t Swim!! Can do!! No wrong!!

The band released “Quitting” today and that’s all we’ve got to say. Can you wait and ask us again after we spend the next 24 hours binge listening until we hate it?

Do you want to just go with us here and listen to the new track? I don’t think you’re going to get much more out of us today. We were super professional with the previous announcements but uh…yeah, that’s out the window. We’re officially Far Too Excited™️️ to keep it together.

You can listen to the new track below and if you’ve got time after that, you can help us force the band to come visit us up North Of The Wall via Twitter.

If you haven’t seen the Princes of Oakland Surf Punk live before, this video will motivate you to plan your next road trip and cross it off your bucket list. Their live performance starts a five alarm fire in your heart that doesn’t go out until long after their set is over. We’ll be happy to relive the experience through this video until the next time they roll through our city.

As far as live shows go there are a lot of things that can be done to make a show great. Twenty One Pilots is one of the best bands by far at putting on an amazing live performance. They have all the lights and confetti that one could want in a show and then there’s more that they do to make the show memorable.

Twenty One Pilots recently played at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA for two sold out shows for the second leg of the Emotional Roadshow. The show had new songs and elements to it that weren’t present in the first leg of the tour. Building up anticipation seems to be a strong suit for the boys as they began the show with the pre-chorus part to “Fairly Local”, dropped a curtain and went straight into “Heavydirtysoul”.

Frontman Tyler Joseph moved around the arena a lot. At one point to the audiences surprise, he ended up in the nosebleed seats singing “Hometown”. Moving back down to the normal stage, “Heathens” was played along with a medley of “House Of Gold/We Don’t Believe What’s On TV”. Tyler and drummer Josh Dun then ran over to the B-Stage and played their cover of My Chemical Romance’s “Cancer” along with a few other songs. During “Cancer”, the arena was lit up with the lights from everyone’s phones and the room was filled with the voices of 18,000 people.

“Holding Onto You” was next, followed by the covers portion of the show. “Car Radio” was the final song before the encore and it was awesome! Tyler went up to his tower at the back of the arena, and then he and the audience sang the final verse the song.

“Goner” and “Trees” were the final two songs for their encore. “Trees” is always one of the best songs to hear live. Tyler gives a speech before he starts the song and he let us all know that he sneezed for the first time ever during a song at the show. After the speech, the song is played and then towards the end of the song Josh and Tyler climb out on top of the crowd and drum together.

The last words you hear at a Twenty One Pilots show stick with you, those words being “We are Twenty One Pilots and so are you”.

There’s really no other show out there quite like TOP. Hearing everyone sing along to a song all at once is one of the coolest things ever. If the boys are ever in your neck of the woods, don’t miss them. Stay Alive |-/

You can check out the remaining dates of the Emotional Roadshow here.

Zac Farro from Paramore has released a new song called “French Class” with his side project HalfNoise. A follow up EP to their first album Sudden Feeling was also announced over the weekend; The Velvet Face will be released on March 24th.

If you are unfamiliar with HalfNoise, it’s nothing like Paramore. Zac Farro brings out his funky side in these songs and they for sure make you want to get up and dance. The track begins with a voiceover in French and then goes right into the music. The song features a heavy bass line throughout and some really awesome guitar licks as well.

Just like the past HalfNoise album dealt with breakups, this song keeps up with the relationship theme. Farro sings about how he can’t keep waiting for whoever he is singing about.
The song is now out everywhere. You can check it out below!

For what seemed like ages, we all hoped and prayed for a return from All Time Low. After much teasing, we finally got it.

That’s right, folks! All Time Low has returned from their cave and they are back with their brand new single, “Dirty Laundry.”

This new single is most definitely a new style for All Time Low. If you would have shown me something like “Coffee Shop Soundtrack” followed by “Dirty Laundry”, I would have not thought it was the same band. However, that’s not to say the song is bad, but that it’s completely different from what we’ve seen with previous releases.

This track definitely has more of an atmospheric feel, as opposed to their more pop-punk drum beats and guitar riffs. The lyrics are fun to sing along to and it looks like a song that fans will grow to love in the future.

And also, can I say that the music video was literally awesome? I can’t be the only one who got serious Stranger Things vibes in that laundromat. Maybe All Time Low visited the Upside Down during their time off…

You heard it here- All Time Low is back and they are ready to take over the world once more.

Uncool Records are the total opposite of uncool, and Waterloo Teeth‘s new EP shows just that.

The Oakland band premiered their first song “Big Green Lawn” earlier this month. The track gave us a taste of what was to come and boy, is it ever good.

The EP features four songs and offers up a unique, feel-good surf grunge sound that will have you tapping your toes and drumming along on your steering wheel.

Waterloo Teeth will be joining Bash & Pop for a few shows along the west coast. Check out the dates here.

You can listen to Waterloo Teeth’s new EP on the band’s Spotify and Uncool Records’ Soundcloud.

It seems like Lana Del Rey is back from her Honeymoon.

Lana’s newest single “Love” takes you through a journey of (surprise!) young love. The video takes on an interesting retro vibe, showcasing a new-age ’60s space love story. Now that’s quite a mouthful, but trust us when we say it totally works.

“Love” is the first single from Lana’s fifth studio album, which is set to come out later this year.

Lana recently mentioned that her upcoming album is one for the fans. “I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed.”

Lana has also said there will be “exciting guest featured artists” on the album. Will we see another Weeknd collab? Another Father John Misty cameo? The possibilities are totally endless.

Check out “Love” below!

We’ve had “My Immortal” on loop while we awaited Evanescence‘s return. It looks like we can hit pause now, because Evanescence is back!

With the February 17 release of their vinyl boxset The Ultimate Collection, Evanescence has released a new, early demo version of “Even in Death.” The track was written before the release of their 2003 hit album Fallen.

“Even in Death” is hauntingly beautiful in the way only Amy Lee can capture. Amy’s voice floats over the alluring but eerie piano, gradually growing more powerful and intense as the song goes on.

Vinyl fans can rejoice because The Ultimate Collection will feature FallenThe Open Door and Evanescence on vinylAs if that wasn’t enough, the boxset will also include the previously unreleased demo album Origin.

Evanescence played a few shows last fall, but Amy has been busy with her solo career, having released a children’s album titled Dream Too Much.

You can listen to “Even in Death” below!
